  • 9:30 AM Meeting called to order – Steve Wieboldt second the motion
  • Thank you for the following:
    • Thank you Tina (Social Committee) for sending emails regarding MPA Events
      • We would love to have volunteers help with Social Committee – Please contact Tina
    • Thanks to everyone who helped in setting up and cooking this morning; we could not do this without your help
    • Thank you Tami Wieboldt for keeping track of all VFD payments and depositing the money for the fire house
  • Report of the officers and standing board
    • President – Randy Corral
    • Fire Chief – Steve Wieboldt
    • Vice President – Joe Gombar
    • Treasurer – Steve Gilbert
    • Secretary – Alyssa Weber (Announced Resignation)
  • Old Business
    • 5/26/2024 Board Meeting
      • 9:15 AM Meeting called to order -Jim Ringler second the motion
      • Paperwork for fire department filed
      • Fire truck reported in good working condition
      • Board member election
      • Financials provided by Steve Gilbert
  • New Business:
    • Secretary Election (1 year position) – Sandra Ogurchak elected as secretary
    • Next year elections for all positions – Anyone interested, please contact Randy at [email protected]
    • Firewise Certification – After further review and discussion MPA will join with Walker Firewise. Randy will send out further notification once we have formally outlined our community involvement.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Fire truck is 50 years old and we should plan to replace it – suggestion to raise fire department fund to $20,000.
    • Motion to change bank from the credit union to a bank that allows for easier banking e.g. online deposits, Zelle, QR Code
      • Motion approved by community in attendance
    • 2024 Financial Summary Through June 30, 2025:
      • Total Balance: $14,511.13
      • Deposits: $5,047 in deposits
        • $3,381 in dues (44 out of 71 lots paid)
        • $666 from donation jar
        • $1,000 from social committee
      • Expenses: $2,306.87
        • APS: $596.87
        • Insurance: $1,710
  • Annual dues due $50/Lot: It is critical the community continues to support the fired department
    • What happens if we do not have our MPA Volunteer Fire Department?
      • Property taxes could increase as much as $300
      • Possibility of not being able to get insurance due to not having “near” Fire Department

  • Next year we will host single day Annual MPA VFD Board meeting and horseshoes
